This Wasn’t Supposed to Happen
I never planned on starting my own consulting practice. If you had asked me in college where I’d end up, I would have told you I was on a path toward music.
When I was young, my parents noticed that I had a gift for music, and I was especially drawn to the drums. Drumming made sense to me: it’s creative, but also structured, logical, and precise. In college, I studied music seriously, but as graduation approached, I realized that pursuing it full-time wasn’t a fit for the kind of stability I wanted in life. I wasn’t an “artist musician” chasing fame or improvisation — I was more of a craftsman. I loved the discipline and the order, but I wanted a career where that mindset could thrive.
That’s what led me to marketing. Marketing gave me a way to stay connected to creativity while also leaning into my logical, organized side. I learned how ideas can shape brands, move people, and drive change.
From Creativity to Operations
Over time, my focus expanded beyond campaigns and messaging. I realized I thrived on lists, progress, and systems. Leadership came naturally — even going back to middle school, I often found myself in roles where I could see what needed to be done and help others move toward it.
That evolved into operations and strategy. I found myself building systems, leading teams, and guiding organizations through growth and change. I discovered I had an “operator’s mindset” — balancing creative ideas with the discipline needed to actually make them work.
Why Fractional Work
So why a consulting practice now?
For me, it comes down to impact. I want my work — and my life — to have meaning. The fractional model allows me to support businesses I align with in a nimble, effective way. Organizations often need clarity and leadership, but don’t necessarily need (or can’t yet afford) a full-time COO or CMO. That’s where I can step in — providing strategic guidance, operational discipline, and access to trusted creative talent, without the overhead of a big agency.
It’s work that lets me lean into both sides of who I am: the creative roots and the operator’s mindset.
My Philosophy
At the core, my vision is simple:
Make the world a better place for those around me by cultivating excellence at work, home, and beyond.
I believe work should be purposeful, people-centered, and principled. For me, that means contributing to organizations where integrity, humility, and excellence are foundational, and where the mission goes beyond profit. My role is to lead strategically, solve meaningful problems, and collaborate with others who care deeply about what they do.
My values guide me: integrity, humility, gratitude, generosity, excellence, empathy, patience, presence, and candor. They shape not just how I approach my work, but how I live.
Looking Ahead
I never planned on being here, but looking back, it makes sense. From music to marketing to operations, every step has been preparing me for this: to serve as a partner to leaders who want to grow with clarity, creativity, and integrity.
